Caligula- in St Gallen

In Theatre St. Gallen

The word Caesarean was almost invented for him. C. Caesar Augustus Germanicus, after his death, was called only Caligula (boots), derived from the small soldiers’ boots, which had been made by the legionaries in the camp for the son of their Germanicus, the son of a German infantry. After only four years of domination as a Roman emperor, Caligula was overthrown by conspiracy. The main reason was his sprawling violence, manifested in unjust trials, arbitrary judgments, and cruel executions. The Croatian choreographer, Ronald Savkovic, will be on the trail of one of the most notorious rulers of Roman history with the dance company of the St.Gallen Theater.
